THE PROP SHEET. Twelve studies of the key in twelve angles in three dimensions: front, back, edge on so it is almost a line, foreshortened away, foreshortened towards, rolled on its side, down the shank, from below, and three quarters from both corners. NOT ONE IS UPRIGHT AND FLAT TO THE CAMERA, because a key square to the lens looks hung and not dropped, which is exactly what went wrong in the first fall. THE KEY IS GOLD: the world is graphite and this is the only gold in the film.
