THE GLASS IS ON THE CAMERA LENS, NOT ON THE PAPER. That is the rule this frame establishes and every inspection frame follows it: imagine the magnifying glass held immediately in front of the lens that is shooting the shot. So it is large and close, slightly soft at the rim from being that near, it casts NO shadow on the drawing because it is not touching it, and the world is seen through it and around it. Inside, the distant banner arrives almost at the viewer, F I N filling the circle, bowing outward toward the brass with a refracted fringe at the very edge. There is only ever ONE banner: the lens shows what is already there, made larger. Built in stages, which is what finally made it work: crop the real frame, redraw that crop sharp in the same hand, put the glass on it, then compose. HELD 3.9.2026: not placed by the running order Baba dictated for scene one, which keeps the leg inspection only. Kept and not cut. One edit puts it back.
