INT. THE BODY — THE THRESHOLD

The doorway very close, filling the frame. Grown stone, arched and wider at the bottom, edges rounded over. Soft irregular slabs run up to a low rounded lip of a sill, and beyond it the paper is blank.

REBUILT 31.8.2026 in the language of the house. THE SILL IS STILL ONE DARK LINE and that is the whole point: drawn floor behind it, nothing beyond, which is what lets the next frame be bare paper without reading as a cut to nothing. Measured, the middle of the frame is 100 percent unmarked paper. The flanking doors dropped out and the walls sweep in instead, which is better: fewer objects competing with the opening and the curve pulls the eye through.
