APPROVED BY BABA 3.9.2026. MANAN IS FULL COLOUR AND THE WORLD IS GRAPHITE, and those are the only two colours in the film with the gold key. Head and lifted arm highest and pointing at the throat, feet trailing below, sweatshirt and hair streaming DOWNWARD because he is rising and the air is going past him the other way. That trail is the only thing separating rising from falling. Colour measures 0.37 per cent of the frame, all of it him. Layers CLOUD and MANAN are generated separately rather than keyed, in BB_C_9/layers.

The vortex with nobody in it. This one was never keyed: the cloud and the boy were generated as separate layers in the first place, which is why the plate is exact and not a repair.

RGBA, transparent, nothing to key. The image model cannot write an alpha channel, so this was not generated: the matte was measured. The bright half of him came from the MANAN layer and the dark half, trousers, shoes and hair, from where the finished frame is darker than the cloud plate, because black on black is invisible and black on pale paper is not. Then holes filled, edge softened, and his colour taken off the plate rather than off the black backing so the fringe is not dark.
